In case you have a domain name and a web hosting plan for it, you’ll be able to create email accounts for personal or commercial purposes and to set them up with software apps such as Thunderbird, Outlook or Apple Mail. In the meantime, you will be able to select one of the two popular email retrieval protocols – IMAP or POP3. The first protocol will enable you to see all messages, but they will stay on the server, while with the second protocol, all email messages will be downloaded onto the device where the mailbox is created, unless you explicitly choose a copy to be kept on the server. In this way, you can choose if you’d like all your e-correspondence to be kept on one single device, or if you’d rather be able to examine the emails from different places. The latter alternative is quite handy for organizations where a number of people working on different computers need access to a given mailbox.
POP3 IMAP E-mail Accounts in Cloud Hosting
You will be able to use any email client and any desktop or handheld device to access your emails if you choose any of our cloud services. Our email servers support both email delivery protocols (POP3 and IMAP), so you can choose the one that answers your requirements – you can download all email messages on your PC or you can store the messages on the server if you are running a company and a number of people need to gain access to them, for instance. You can even download a configuration file for a given mailbox for any of the three most widely used desktop email clients – Outlook, Apple Mail and Thunderbird. You’ll just need to run the file on your computer and that mailbox will be automatically set up. If you prefer to use your smartphone, we have included elaborate tutorials on how to set up a mailbox on an iOS- or an Android-based handheld device.
